PolygonKid App — Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 4, 2026
This policy applies to the PolygonKid mobile application (iOS and Android) and the English web experience at en.polygonkid.cn. It does not replace policies for other regional products.
1. Who we are
PolygonKid is an educational quiz app for children aged 7–12. Contact: hunterchenlin@gmail.com
2. What we collect
- Anonymous device ID — a random UUID stored on your device (localStorage / AsyncStorage) used only to remember your likes on questions. No account required.
- Quiz activity — assessment scores stay on your device unless you choose to share them. We do not require a child’s name, email, or photo.
- Question bank cache — downloaded questions are cached locally for up to 15 minutes to save bandwidth.
- Server logs — our API may log IP address, request time, and error messages for security and reliability (standard web server logs).
3. What we do not collect
We do not require registration, do not sell personal data, and do not use third-party ad networks in the app. We do not knowingly collect precise location or contacts.
4. Children’s privacy (COPPA / similar laws)
PolygonKid is designed for children with parent or teacher guidance. We minimize data collection. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
5. How we use data
- Deliver quiz content and sync community likes on questions
- Improve question quality (aggregate like counts)
- Maintain service security and fix errors
6. Data retention
Anonymous like records are kept while the feature exists. Local caches expire automatically. Server logs are rotated per hosting policy (typically 30–90 days).
7. Your choices
Clear app storage or browser site data to reset your anonymous ID and cached questions. Uninstalling the app removes local data.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use means acceptance of the revised policy.
